It can accommodate up to 19 people : 15 people in the main house and 2 to 4 people in the connecting annex.

A vast 900 sq.ft. living room with exposed stone wall and :

  • a boot room for shoes and coats,
  • a fully equipped kitchen with central island and bar stools
  • a dining area with various possible table configurations
  • a cosy lounge with books, TV and a log burner for winter evenings

7 bedrooms

All rooms face east with a view of the ancient watermill:

  • All rooms have either a queen or 2 twin beds, depending on your needs
  • 2 en-suite bedrooms (150-175 sq.ft.) with shower room and toilet
  • 4 bedrooms of 11-12 m² share 2 shower rooms and 2 WCs
  • 1 spacious 430 sq.ft. attic bedroom with en suite bathroom. It can sleep a 3rd person in a single bed. This bright room with a roof window, can be used as a games room (board games, TV screen).

540 sq.ft. over 2 levels. Rented solely as a complement to the main house.

The project's guiding principles are : - staying true to the site's History, - prioritising comfort, - focusing on eco-construction with common-sense energy efficiency techniques:

  • collecting rain from the roofs to flush toilets
  • phyto-purification sanitation system with reed beds
  • wood furnace (renewable energy) and a log burner in the lounge for cosiness
  • hemp, flax and cotton as insulation material + hemp-sand coating on walls
  • hemp and lime insulation + hemp-lime-sand coating for the lounge's wall
  • maximising natural light (velux windows)
  • maximising natural ventilation (tilt and turn windows)
  • solar protection (shutters, sunshades, pergolas)
  • solar panels planned on the farm buildings
